I am a backend developer, like many of you. So what should I do when I need to show some data? Write a console app (sigh)? Or maybe learn CSS and JavaScript (deeper sigh)? But there is always a hope and for me it came with a functional approach to UI development offered by Elm language and brought to F# by Fable and its Elmish extension. In this talk we will cover principles of Elm architecture and Model-View-Update pattern and look at Web applications built using both Elm and Fable/Elmish.
